doin the charleston with dPT!

December 17, 2010

my first holiday party of the season was the most epic costume event i’ve been to in a loooong time! debi nabbed me as a model for dipietro todd salon when i moved to sf two years ago and since then she’s kept my locks looking fantastic! this year dPT celebrated the holidays with their annual costume party, this year a 1920s prohibition theme! we got ready at debi’s house in oakland, debi looking gorgeous in her electric blue mayle dress and her husband, david, looking sharp in his tux, complete with wing collar! i wore my grandmother’s fur, my mom’s art nouveau opal pendant, and an incredible handmade black & gold lace dress that i inherited from duffy, a friend of my aunt’s, that belonged to her grandmother- authentic, baby!!

over at manor west in soma, flappers, newsboys, and even a sir caught in his skivvies leaving the whorehouse were all in attendance, drinking and dancing with long cigarettes, turbans, sequined headbands and satin gloves. there was a live 20s-style band, a photobooth, and there were even some scandalous burlesque dancers! feathers, furs, beads, sparkle, sock garters, pinstripes, zoot suits, suspenders, hats, and lots of incredible hairdos!!! dPT seriously knows how to party! here’s to a fah-bulous holiday season and new year!
