lemonade for everyone!

August 3, 2011

i am thrilled to report that our BIG BIG BIG LEMONADE STAND that happened this past sunday was one of our most successful events yet!!! it was the perfect summer day for hanging outside with friends, drinking arnold and laura palmers, tossing water balloons, and just enjoying life!

to my utter surprise, laura & brandon busted out an incredible carnival game, the BOOM-BOOTH, that required throwing darts at balloons filled with glitter and confetti….while wearing 3D glasses!!! jeremy fired up the grill with oysters, halibut, and sausages for everyone. emily’s mom took charge of the lemonade stand, slicing and squeezing lemons like a pro and floating each cup with a tiny lemonboat garnish! nico blew up all the balloons until his fingernails hurt and karn constructed a marvelous, ever-growing balloon sculpture. the good mod was open with some deals on incredible mid-century furniture, the BOET and rectangular objects studio doors were wide open, and lindsay of mapleXO set up shop with her recycled skateboard jewelry. the BIG THING SHOP was there too, flanked by giant cardboard cutouts that courtney and i spent saturday painting and building :)

to all of the friends whom i haven’t seen in quite a while, to all the new friends we made (kelly & greg, lauren, etc), and to the large crew of people that helped make this such a beautiful event THANK YOU SO MUCH for your love and support. can’t wait to come back to portland and do this again!
