Refinery29 recently featured me & my coworker/bff, Monica, at our work in San Francisco as part of their piece on SF’s Stylish Shop Girls! I’ve worked at Metier doing the styling and photos for their blog and website for the past four years and Monica has been there for six. I wanted to share the article and also mention how much these ladies and this place mean to me. It’s not just a job to pay the rent- none of us would have stayed for 4+++ years if that was the case! Fashion is our love, our life, and I just wanted to put it out there that we consider ourselves SO MUCH MORE than just “shopgirls”- we are artists, stylists, creatives, businesswomen, designers, moms, and, like I say in the interview, all-around strong ladies running a women-owned business that has been around for 20 years. And that is just as incredible (if not more!) than our ability to put together cool outfits. There is so much more that goes on behind the scenes besides “coveting” and “playing dress up” and I am very proud of all the hard work that we do every day! Check out our interview and some of the other awesome women running shit in the many awesome & stylish boutiques of SF. Thanks Refinery!!!
