Design Night at Autodesk! This month’s theme is From Idealism to Realism: Celebrating Public Interest Design.
“Public interest design is the next frontier of the sustainability movement, and it’s transforming our world by bringing the benefits of good design to those who, in the past, have had little access to it. From low-cost eyeglasses for children in Mexico to a desperately needed hospital in rural Rwanda, public interest design actively considers the economic, environmental, and social factors shaping our world. At its best, public interest design improves the quality of life for all people, regardless of socio-economic background, with a goal of nothing less than creating better spaces and places for people to live their best lives.”
