not sure if i want to take brooklyn-based artist julia dault‘s paintings too seriously or not. with titles like “rowdy cats,” “bunga bunga,” and “skull crusher,” it seems like julia’s not asking us to ponder silently about abstraction, but rather wants to engage the viewer with color and roller-coaster-rides along her lines. her sculptures...
